you might have been wondering..

Why in all of my posts so far I have not posted any pictures of myself... well becuase I have not made it a habbit of carrying around a camera. But I have spent some time with the LaRock girls and family (which has been alot of fun) and Liz is a picture fanatic so I stole a few from her and edited the color. And am now posting them for your pleasure!

My first official photo shoot of Lucy!

But alas she ran away and so I could not get any good looking photos...

Ok just kidding!

This was the first dress that Aunt Joanna picked out for her..
But Lucy wasn't to sure if she liked it though...

But in the end she liked it.

But she tried to run away again so I took her back inside and changed her clothes.

Oh yah that's more like it!
check out her belly;-)
so charming!!!

City Folks

General update...
hey everyone! Long time no posts.. hehe well anyways. So I hope to do a photo shoot of dear little Lucy sometime soon but have not had a good time to do it. The weather has been really wet and rainy this past week. But since I don't have the pics to post this time. I decided to post about every thing else I am doing and the reason for my title:-)

general update...
My life right now is consisting of school and Lucy. Oh and Jessica,Jeremy,Julie,Peter, and Joseph. I have been able to get lots of studies done. But my favorite time is when I take a break and play with Lucy though. What a fun baby. She laughs at everything! And tries to eat every rock she can find. She loves when people tickle her and has to funnest/cutest laugh ever!

Brother update..
Jeremy has been home this week which has been nice. Big brothers are always fun to have around. We love quoting from an old movie we watched as kids (let's see if anyone can guess which one:-) Joseph has had to be out of town from Monday morning till Friday night ever since I got here so we try and spend the weekend together. Playing games, going for walks, me teaching him how to make Macaroni and Cheese:-) going to see Wall-e, telling people at church that I am his practice wife,or in our spare time admiring his wonderful house:-) All are fun to do. And we are thinking about trying so Tennis sometime soon

sister-in-law update...
Jessica has been so super amazing! It has been such an answer to prayer to get to know her better. I can see why Jeremy always says "he got himself a good one". (not that I did not know that before now:-) but living with her for a while has helped me see that even more. It's fun to also watch her tummy get bigger I was so little when mom had Jed and Jeff that I don't remember that stage much. The wonder of Human life is so amazing to watch.

Brother-in-law and sister up date...
Sadly they both are gone quite a bit with work. They are home in the evenings and the weekends. I have so loved being able to A) Get to know Peter better and B) spend some time with my super amazing sister. Peter was out of town a few weeks ago so I spent a few nights at Julie's house. It was fun spending time talking like the old times on her and Peters really really really high bed. Man you have to get a jump start:-)

Joanna update...
Nothing to say here:-)

Title update...
k so like I said I would explain to you all why I titled this City Folks. Jessica,Lucy and I have been going to a "Great Country Farms" which is about 25 min away. Once a week we go and Jessica gets a share of food with fresh garden veggies, and depending on what time of year it is you can go and pic some food your self. like Strawberries, and Blueberries well today was Blueberries day. And there plants are far enough away that they have some wagon's pulled by a tractor to take you out there. Well this is also a place for people who live in the city come and have the Country Experience! So as we all are picking blueberries I hear this mother tell her two kids (I am guessing ages 9 and 11).. "wow what amazing plats" "This is so cool.. and look.... thats a weed!!!"
I then start laughing but that was easy to cover up seeing as I was carrying Lucy:-) So I at least can say that I have had some major advantages growing up in the country. At least I don't stand in aww of a weed. But then again if you have always been in the city I would assume that weeds would seem pretty special. Even then though... lol

Well it is super late but I wanted to give you all an update. So forgive the miss spellings:-)

Difficulty: Strenuous

So last weekend I went hiking with Joseph, Julie, Peter, and the whole LaRock family. I had lots of fun but had a few problems along the way. For starters I had charley horses in both my calves which was really painful. but after I got through those....I over extended a muscle in my ankle. So walking was very painful for the last part of the trip. But as Julie and Peter kept reminding me, it would be worth it when I got to the top... and boy were they right. It was breathtaking! Pictures don't do these mountains justice... but to give you all an idea what it was like I posted some.

but first some Old Rag facts...:-)

Distance: 7 miles round trip
Elevation Gain : 2200 ft
Difficulty: Strenuous

Elizabeth and John getting ready for the hike!

Paul had to clear the path for us girls a few times.
and Joseph helped out when he could.....

But you got to let the men get a break sometime......

This is Peter right as he was jumping ...

Liz took this right on time!

A breathtaking view part way up....

Mr. LaRock enjoying all the beauty.

Another amazing view... (along with Paul's head)

And yet again.

Julie very proud of her climb:-)

And last but not least is Julie and Peter! Thanks guys for taking it slow with me. You were awesome!
